From Czechoslovakia to Arizona.
Hans was born and raised in Czechoslovakia. His original biography records involvement with Czech German Shepherds from 1965. The original homepage records regular imports to the United States beginning in 1981.
His work connects the people raising and training Czech dogs with the families and handlers who will live with them. Hans helped shape JINOPO’s beginnings, and their work together continues today.

A working dog should be versatile.
Hans’s original homepage describes dogs for companionship, family protection, police work, detection and search-and-rescue prospects. His Q&A makes the individual match central: dogs within the same working lines can have different temperaments and different handling needs.
The history remains connected to the dogs.
The site’s photographs record Czech visits, earlier breeding dogs and past handler instruction. Names such as Norbo Ben-Ju, Chuligan z Pohranicni straze and Dargo Ha-Ja-Da appear in those collections and pedigrees.
